The PART 2 FOOTBALL EXAM directions are listed below.  The deadline date for submitting the completed Part 2 FOOTBALL Exam is Friday, September 11, 2009.  Once the Exam is submitted, you will know you score immediately.  DO NOT SUBMIT THE EXAM UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED EVERYTHING.  Several weeks after the exam you will receive information showing what you missed on the exam.  DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER TEST AS IT WILL NOT COUNT FOR THE PART 2 FOOTBALL EXAM SO TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING! New Officials and those not applying for the FOOTBALL tournament need not complete this exam.  Officials who are applying to work the FOOTBALL Tournament Series and those who are applying for certification will receive only one examination.  The certification test and tournament test are the same.  Your score will be processed for the tournament series and for certification.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE TESTING PROCESS

TESTING DATES  FOR  PART II:

FOOTBALL PART 2:  August 25 – September 11

HOW TO STUDY Read each rule thoroughly for understanding.  The rules can sometimes be difficult to understand and interpret.  Give yourself time to read and interpret the information being given.  The test questions come primarily from the Rules Book.

HOW TO TAKE THE TEST:  The test questions should be read very carefully.  The terms never, always, shall, or may are red flags for you and cause to review the question.  Wording of some questions is taken strictly from the rules book.  Sometimes one word in the sentence may be changed which gives the sentence another meaning.  Go through the test and answer the questions you are sure of.  Then go through again to answer those that you need to refer to the rules book.  Finally, go through again to make sure you have answered all questions.  There is no time limit so you can take your time in going through the test questions.  You may review the test at more than one sitting.  Do not submit before you finalize the process.  Just make sure you submit the answers by the end of the testing period indicated above at Testing Dates.  WHEN THE EXAM IS SUBMITTED, THERE IS NO GOING BACK TO WITHDRAW THE SUBMISSION.  YOU ARE DONE AT THAT POINT.  You will not be allowed a second chance.
